Intriguing.
This is a glass piece I bought in an art gallery and gave to a friend. How it came back to me is also intriguing. One of those stories for another time–like after I’m dead! =)
It looks, to me, slightly like an ashtray that has partially melted.
It’s possible Jeff used it for an ashtray.
