Choppers

I just noticed that Pollock the puppy is getting his big dog teeth. I don’t know who’s growing faster, Pollock or Hanley, but I will say Hanley has a good-looking pair of choppers herself.

Then there’s Pixie P. Lambert: VAMPIRE DOG!

  1. Oh, my gosh and golly, black eyes and fangs. Have you been letting Pixie watch those Twilight movies again? Or is it Vampire Academy now? Looks like Pollock plays well with kids, too.

    1. I’ll have to admit I’m slightly intrigued by this Vampire Academy.

I’m not sure Tim lets Pixie watch the Twilight movies. But I suspect she’d be Team Jacob.

      1. If I watched them around Molly, she would naturally run up to the TV stand and bark her head off. Michelle, on the other hand, just ignores it; she’s more interested in playing “little pink sock” with whatever toy she finds. I don’t know if that means Molly is Team Jacob or team dogs-who-bark-at-anything. She is the only dog we’ve ever had that actually watches TV. Before the flat screen revolution, all the dogs we had ignored that flashy CRT over there (unless it played a door bell sound). It’s all about frames/sec refresh. Molly loves chasing after the laser pointer dot on the walls, and Michelle just ignores the walls and looks directly at the laser pointer, which is why I had to stop using it. So, in a round about sort of way, depending on how Pixie sees the image refresh on the TV, she might be Team Jacob after all!

        1. That reminds me. Lindsey and Rhonda’s dog Sugar loves the “red dot,” but our dogs Margot and Guinness, as well as Tim’s (late) Rex and Pixie never paid any attention to it.

So one night we got out the laser pointer for Sugar, and none of us thought (at that time new dog) Penny would pay much attention to it, but she was just as crazy for it as Sugar was! Then Pixie, seeing that Penny was excited, ran around chasing it with them, but it was clear her heart wasn’t in it. It was just peer pressure.

If Taylor Lautner were to visit The Compound, though, I’m pretty sure Pixie would crush on him. And sooner or later, I’ll have to see if Pollock cares for the red dot. Although right now, he has a puppy’s enthusiasm for anything. A toy, a leaf, a piece of lint no one else can see. It’s all exciting for him.
