My Little Demon

“My Little Demon” is a Lindsey Buckingham song that frequently gets stuck in my brain thanks to my friend Rob over at Smiling Bagel. Rob has a calendar that presents him an origami challenge every weekday, and back in June, his challenge was to create a raccoon.

Rob said, and Marika and* I agreed, that this looks less like a raccoon and more like a little demon. Thus Rob over the months has created an entire demon family:

Name unknown, Stan, Flora, and Fran.

Recently, Rob’s dog Renee sent me a little demon of my own.

Raccoon? I still say demon. But I’ll name him Rocky because…Beatles.

Thanks, Rob and Renee! I love it.

ETA: Marika says it’s a werewolf.

  1. HEY! I like Demons, I was hanging with the Demons before it was cool. Crowley The Crossroads Demon is my favorite character on my favorite show, but clearly they are werewolves. Notice the paws, the ears the forlorn eyes that seem to say “Even a man who is pure in heart, and says his prayers by night may become a wolf when the wolfsbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright. “

  2. Some demons who don’t say their prayers at night have been known to turn into werewolves when the wolfsbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright.

And Rocky is a good demon name. Renee approves.
