Yesterday, How did you know it was going to rain on Path Day, today, when it is plain to see that the day before today was nice? 🙂
Forecasters have been promising us five days of rain since last week sometime. It didn’t rain any of the previous days, but every day I’ve hoped it might the next day. I keep up with rain forecasts the way skiers and snowboarders watch snow forecasts, because I would like us to be fully out of drought conditions.
Same here. For Blacksburg, va, I did fairly well with the weather maps, but around here, the mountains shield the area. Forecast rain usually ends up with a few drops and lots of wind with occasional lightning. The past week we were lucky that the rain brought us just enough moisture to have fireworks this 4th, even after the Black Forest fire. But we have to be careful what we wish for as last year’s burn scar becomes mud slides during a modest downpour of 5 mins. Despite how depressing it gets, a solid light drizzly rain for a week would help if the burn scar can absorb the moisture.
A week of drizzly rain sounds heavenly. We often get fast and furious downpours which means flash flooding and too much runoff to really help our parched botanicals.
