30 Days of Creativity: Day 27–Notebook

The Adventures of Katnip: 47

“Looks like we’ve fallen into the Land of Notebooks,” John Riley said.

“Notebooks? Will they hurt us? There are too many!” Cuddle said.

“On the contrary,” I told him, “there can never be enough.”

      1. I don’t know why I never thought of Cuddle as female. Always has been male–or more, as you say, genderless, than anything.

  1. At the risk of showing age, I once had a Handspring Visor PDA. It really served as the all-in-one planner and notebook. But, alas, all good things must come to an end. I attached a fold-up keyboard and killed the battery with every keystroke. This particular modal had an expansion port, where you could plug in cartridges like, a phone, or a camera, or an MP3 player, or GPS… See what happened? When it refused to turn on again (never mind talk to the charger or sync to my computer) I felt like I lost everything, well, nearly. I had the last sync, and I can still access that information even today. So until the iPhone came about, I had to use ~gasp!~ notebooks, pens, highlighters, crayons, notecards, pencils and lots of eraser. It was like going back in time (or like the power cut.)

    1. Ah gadgets–they’re supposed to make our lives easier, but when they fail, things suddenly seem much harder.
