This morning, I saw a squirrel trying to drag away half a circle of discarded tasted pita. I think it was trying to run away from me, and it was caught between the fear and the prize.

Thank you for the link! Those were some stunning photos. I think I liked the window at Kew with the snail the best, but they were all beautiful. Can you imagine judging from seventy-plus thousand entries?!?
Ya, I just wish the one that keeps raiding my bird feeder would “go hide in a tree”!

They are relentless. Squirrels are why we stopped putting out bird feeders. Well, also, those squirrels with the long skinny tails instead of the big fluffy tails.
It’s strange, Squiggles the Squirrel and the little sparrows eat out of the same seed bowl at the same time with no problem. And Mlle. Renee never chases him off or barks at him either. I’m thinking of naming the back yard Eden.
It is a paradise for all your furry and feathered visitors! Even those snakes are imaginary.
