Do you see a word in it? And if you do, what’s the word?
I know it’s a word and I can make out some of the letters … but I am unsure about others ..
so tell me

Neat painting, but the word looks like SNOTTYPANTS to me.

I thought News was the artist.
that is not what my photographer friend said … but maybe he is wrong too
Why can’t it be both? The word, even if I can’t decipher it, could very well be “news,” and the graffiti artist may call himself “News.” He could be creating art that has his tag in it–many do.
Is your artist friend Ruben, who commented below?
that says NEWS , he is either from San Antonio or Austin not sure , but this particular piece was done back in 2009
Thanks, Ruben. When I researched it to try to get more info (the night I posted the photo), I found one site that named the artist as “News.” But I didn’t know that’s also the word in the painting. I still don’t see the letters for “NEWS,” but I’ll definitely take your word for it.
I enjoyed your Flickr photos of other Houston street art.
If that says NEWS, it has to be written in Polish.
News in Polish is WiadomoĊci, which just might be what’s in the artwork.
I like the graffiti, but have no idea what it says!
