Bit of trivia: Ron, who lives in OK, and I met online in 1997 in the same chatroom where I first met my writing partners. We talked for years before we figured out that we are distant cousins via our Alabama family. Which inevitably leads people to make that Southern-bashin’ observation that if I weren’t married and Ron weren’t gay, we’d have to breed.
Just to clarify, I am all for the breeding thing despite those silly annoyances.
I have heard some more encouraging news today regarding pets being rescued in New Orleans. PETA, I think, said they were finally being allowed to break into abandoned houses to rescue the pets inside.
Let’s all hope & pray that it’s not too late for most of the little critters. And, of course, for the people.
How cool about Ron and also your writing partners. I have made some really good friends who have become off line friends as well,which makes this whole internet thing mightly fine.
